Amid growing flying fears after several high profile incidents, United Airlines has a brand new training facility in Northern Virginia. It’s a site where flight attendants get trained before they take to the skies.

United Airlines has reached a long-awaited contract with its 28,000 flight attendants. If the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA approves the tentative agreement, United flight attendants will receive a 40% boost in economic benefits, including pay, in the first year, the union said.

While the airline prepares to finalize its new deal, it made another major announcement. Over the weekend United announced a record travel schedule coming this fall from its Chicago O'Hare hub. In October, the airline is scheduled to fly up to 592 flights a day from O'Hare, more than any other time this year — surpassing the summer's schedule.
