New Lakers wing and incoming rookie Adou Thiero said he's been studying two of the NBA's better defenders and trying to model his game after them.

The Lakers helped address a need to increase their athleticism at the wing by acquiring Arkansas' Adou Thiero, the No. 36 overall pick of the NBA draft.

Thiero had been projected in most mock drafts as a potential late first-round draft pick but Wednesday came and went without NBA Commissioner Adam Silver called Thiero's name.
