Thousands were evacuated after a 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck off Chile's southern coast on Friday morning.

A small tsunami has arrived in Antarctica, and residents of Southern Chile and Southern Argentina are evacuating.

The epicentre of the quake was several hundred kilometres off the southern coasts of Chile and Argentina, according to the United States Geological Survey.
