A regional jet made an emergency landing in Iowa Thursday evening after a passenger tried to open an emergency exit door and got into an altercation with a flight attendant, according to police.

Detroit police are searching for a suspect accused of firing shots early Friday morning at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center.
