U.S. President Donald Trump's directive banning citizens from 12 countries from entering the U.S. exempts athletes, and LA28 officials said on Thursday they were confident the Games have the full backing of the administration.

Reynold Hoover, chief executive officer of organizing committee LA28, said that exemptions to the ban allowed for a “wide-open Games.”

Casey Wasserman, the chairman and president of LA28, said he had "great confidence" that President Donald Trump's latest travel ban would not 2028 Olympic participants from entering the U.S.
