A severe thunderstorm warning was issued by the NWS Newport/Morehead City NC on Sunday at 2:45 p.m. in effect until 3:30 p.m.

According to data from NWS, an EF-1 tornado landed in northwest Gainesville in Hall County Friday around 6:55 p.m. and went back up at 7:04 p.m.
