Attorney General Pam Bondi on Friday penned a memo noting she would be rescinding former Attorney General Merrick Garland's policies preventing officials from gaining key evidence from members of the media.

The Justice Department will again allow federal investigators to pursue communications from media outlets in the course of government leak investigations, rescinding a Biden-era policy, according to a memo from Attorney General Pam Bondi obtained by CNN.

Federal government employees intentionally leaking sensitive information to the media . . . is illegal and wrong, and it must stop,’ Bondi wrote.
