GRASS LAKE -- The Grass Lake softball team swept Columbia Central 6-4 and 16-1 on Friday to clinch the Cascades Conference title for the fifth time in a row. Grass Lake (30-4, 21-1 Cascades) took the first game behind a five-strike out pitching performance from Mo Conrad, who held the Golden Eagles to two earned runs on six hits.
The Spartans scored all nine of their runs in the first three innings, jumping ahead early and securing a spot in the Western Mass. Class A finals.
