We're going to get a lot of updates on different characters all around the world, a lot of much-anticipated lore dumping, and any other loose ends that need to be tied up before Laugh Tale/the final battle.

Feb 22, 2024 · So yeah, I think just like Egghead wasn't the short arc many thought it'd be, Elbaf isn't going to be short either. I'd go as far as to say it's going to be longer. Hard to specify a number, especially with how fast the pacing is lately and the other plotlines all over the world if Oda keeps doing that, but at least 50+ chapters.

Thirdly, the giants just showed up to help get the straw hats out of there, and where else might they take them but elbaf where other fugitives are hiding?

Jul 15, 2022 · There was an official arc list released recently by Shonen Jump that organized the New World arcs, and they categorized Zou as an independent arc. So, even if Elbaf turns out to be a short 25-30 chapter story without an antagonist and just a lore dump location, it would still be considered an arc.

Elbaf is the only other arc besides Wano to have been built up since the Paradise half of the Grand Line. Combined with the fact that Oda says there will only be a handful of islands post-Wano. Most assume that Elbaf will be next as a "buffer-island" before Luffy continues trying to take down the yonko. ie Blackbeard

Ussop is usually given far more credit then he really deserves, building a paper tiger type of legend like "Usoland", being a Conqueror, besting the shadow giants and having thousands of followers etc.

Jan 23, 2022 · Personally I think if Elbaf is the next arc after Wano it will end around chapter 1100, so depending on when Wano ends it could be between 40-50 chapters. Reason I assume this is that post-timeskip there's always an arc ending very close to each 100 chapter mark.

Sep 20, 2021 · Elbaf seems like the best place for Shanks' arc because I think no matter what either he or Elbaf have the last road poneglyph and the connections with father/mentor figures between Shanks' crew and Elbaf seem way too closely related. Usopp and Yasopp, Luffy and Shanks, and I believe Zoro and Mihawk will meet again there too.
