When that federation broke up into El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala (and Costa Rica which has a different style flag) they inherited similar flag designs. It’s a bit more, this was mostly inspired by the Federal Republic of Central America, which got it’s flag from Argentina.
