Cyberpunk 2077 only had 4 years of actual development. The sequel should take at least 4 years. Good chance it'll take more time. People forget that the first "trailer" for Cyberpunk 2077 was not the start of development.

Well according to rumors I've heard and red on behalf of CD PROJECT RED, Sequel will be about 3 years later and in a new city "CHICAGO". supposedly being able to travel between there and Night City, which if true would be awesome. Bigger maps, more elaborate stories, especially new characters and some old from 2077.

Mar 29, 2024 · Witcher 3 was great but as I pile up more and more playthroughs of cyberpunk I'm realizing that cyberpunk was more fun to play. Maybe the story wasn't as great but I've got way more playthroughs of cyberpunk than almost any other game save some souls games. Cp2077 is one of my favorite games of all time because of how good the gameplay is.

Let's hope that with the Cyberpunk sequel being developed in Unreal Engine 5, it brings more professionals/employees to work on it together vs learning an older/harder engine like RedEngine (as good as it was, the learning curve is too steep for new talent)
