“Beit HaMikdash” (בית המקדש) is a Hebrew phrase meaning “The Holy House” and refers to the Temple in Jerusalem, Israel. It is the most important sanctuary in Judaism. The Beit HaMikdash is considered the spiritual center of the jewish people and the place where the divine presence was manifested. It had two main functions: to serve as a place of worship and offerings to G-d, and as the center of the religious and social life of the jewish people. With G-d’s help, its reconstruction is a reality.
