Adapted to high altitudes, it is highly cold-tolerant and has a long flowering period, requiring suitable temperature and light conditions to bloom. Though the plant is short, its unique blue-purple flowers are eye-catching on the grassland. Together with the distant snow mountains and lakes, they form a distinctive natural autumn scene in Shangri-La.
