We already know too much salt can be harmful but new research has found replacing regular salt with a substitute could be a lifesaver. High consumption of sodium chloride is known to drive up blood pressure, a major risk of early death. But a study published in the journal, Heart, says replacing salt with potassium chloride reduces blood pressure regardless of age, sex and weight.
