Castell Dinas Brân - a medieval castle ruins built above Llangollen in North Wales. Originally this hilltop was used during the Iron Age as a hill fort. It’s use over centuries was due to its ideal strategic location. Behind it is a long stretch of cliffs, and you can see for miles all the way round which would’ve made it easy to spot any potential attackers. The castle was attacked, burnt, besieged and eventually abandoned in the late 1200s, and now only a few walls remain. . . . #historytok #m
