Part 11| art tips Step 1: layer your sketch with either light graphite pencils (2b-4b) or grey charcoal powder and highlight with eraser Step 2: go over the first layer with a charcoal dust and a soft brush, carefully shading from the dark areas to light Step 3: cross hatch on the second layer with a dark graphite pencil (8b-9b) or soft charcoal pencil and blend with a soft brush or blending stump.
