Did you know that Eiders feed on Blue Mussels and other molluscs, together with crustaceans and echinoderms? They dive down to 3 metres or so to find food! Eiders will soon be sitting on eggs around the coasts of northern Britain & Ireland, but you may still see some immature birds around southern coasts because they don't typically breed until their third year.
