IJN Zuikaku — Japan’s Last Pearl Harbor Carrier Shōkaku‑Class Fleet Aircraft Carrier Zuikaku was the second and last Shōkaku‑class fleet aircraft carrier built for the Imperial Japanese Navy, completed just before the Pacific War and thrown straight into the front line of carrier warfare. ​ She sailed with the Kidō Butai for Pearl Harbor, and her initial strike load is commonly listed as 18 A6M “Zero” fighters, 27 D3A “Val” dive bombers, and 27 B5N “Kate” torpedo bombers. #Zuikaku, #IJNZuikaku,
