🌋🟡 Yellowstone’s Moving Ground Traced To Magma Just 4 KM Down 🟡🌋 A new study analysing 25 years of Yellowstone ground movement has linked repeated cycles of uplift and subsidence to a shallow magma source around 4 km beneath the caldera, with a second source much deeper below. Earlier seismic research also detected melt-rich material at almost the same shallow depth.
